That experience changed the direction of his life and inspired him to leave a corporate career, return to school, and pursue a career in mental health. There's something deeply therapeutic about staying active and continuing to do the everyday things ourselves. Whether it's mowing the lawn, going to the gym, cleaning the house, folding laundry, or making a grocery run, these simple tasks provide more than just productivity. Try a common technique by noticing five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste.
